Bruno Court
Bruno Court is a Grade II listed building formerly accommodating the German Hospital in Dalston, Hackney. It was built in the 1930s in the style of Alvar Aalto to the latest thinking in medical design and now accommodates numerous apartments.
It is an early concrete framed structure with some adventurous cantilevered slabs and Corbett and Tasker are the Structural Engineers for the renovations and joining together of two flats via a feature staircase.
We are carrying out extensive opening up works into the existing structure so that strengthening works are sensitively designed and detailed and working closely with the Architect to re-interpret the Art Deco style in modern form.
