Steiner House Theatre Refurbishment

We worked closely with Nicolas Pople architects on the refurbishment of the theatre space within the listed 1920’s concrete and masonry expressionist building of Rudolf Steiner House in Marylebone.

The project included a renovated auditorium space, new lighting rig and control room, bespoke light fittings, and a naturally lit dressing room in a constricted, narrow space. Through careful analysis and investigation the project managed to avoid reinforcing the roof despite formalising secure access across it when pupils from the adjacent school use the building for classes and adding a new green roof finish.
